Craig Hansen Scores his first win of the 2010 season making 4 different winners in as many weeks, Dave Constantino dominated the Sportsman field, Chip Smith Score win number 2 in the Pro Stock division with a last lap pass on Buddy Hencke, Justin Knight goes back to back with wins in the Street Stocks, and Kerri Hollenbeck continues to rollover the the 6cyl. Cruisers & Ron Case Holds off Ken Hollenbeck in the 4cyl's. Mike Allery scores win #2 in the Rookie Sportsman's leaving one more win to grab before being excelled into the DIRTcar Sportsman class
5/8/10 - CRSA 305 SPRINTS FLY INTO OCFS SATURDAY NIGHT
- Billy VanInwegen Scores First OCFS Win, holding off a late race charge and tangle with second place Scott Flammer who came from the 22nd Starting position only to lose the race to a misjudgement of a lapped car. Modified Feature was postponed due to a close curfue time and a medical emergancy in the pits which had to involve many rescue personel and emergency apparatus in the pits. Sportsman Feature found a very lucky Frank Venezia after a mishap under caution allowed him the return to his current 4th starting position an charge to the victory. Don Carlson found a groove to once again dominate the Pro Stock Feature and Emerson Cargain scores win number 2 in the Pure Stocks which was one of the most competative and edge of the seat main events while Rob Rowe Held off late race competitors to bring home the trophy in the Vintage Modified Ranks. After Track Officials look at the upcoming tight schedule, the Modified Feature will be rescheduled in the Near Future

12/15/08 ~ I have Spoke to Ryan's dad again...Ryan is doing well and is still attending therapy 3 days a week in Albany! His spirits are better and he made need another surgery soon as the scars on his arm are healing, the healing scar tissue is making it hard to use and move the arm as it heals and scar tissue sets in.
Again he has thanked everyone for the support everyone has given and unfortunetly the bills keep coming in!! But he is getting by and hoping to heal enough to return to employment someday!

10/26/08 Due to the Postponement of racing at The RIDGE Last night because of the wild wind and rains I had the Opportunity to attend the Ryan Hover Benefit Dinner at the Firehouse in Craryville!!! What a HUGE Success it was!!! For $8.00 I got all I could eat Spaghetti and Meatballs with Fresh Baked Italian Bread, Tossed salad and some of the most delicious home baked goods I've ever had!! No wonder there were HUNDREDS in attendance!!! Yes Ryan was there almost right to the end!!
LOTS of local businesses and individuals donated So Many things from there time to Electric Car starters and Even a Brand New Stihl Weed wacker!! The Raffle items were raffled off and I finally won something!! Actually a few things....Thank You to whoever HAND made the afghan I won and thank you to Eddie Marshall for donating the Sweatshirt, 2 T~Shirts and Racing Hat..I was able to win that package too!!
Ryan's Spirits were definitely Very High!! Glad to be home!!! Not too mention surrounded by friends, family, local town people, and Racers from all over!! Matt Shadick even had his Pro Stock Race Car and Trailer on Display and donated T~Shirts for the raffle, Despite the terrible weather...Many Stayed til the end in hope of winning a raffle or the 50/50 which paid a Whopping $289.00!!! I missed it by 2 numbers!!! I was a little sad I missed that because I wanted to give the money back to Ryan!!
Well Ryan continues his Therapy and I will keep you updated throughout this extremely long and Finally Not too painful (anymore) recovery!! Ryan is no longer taking pain meds..he relies on Simple Tylenol "if" necessary.
I'm so glad I was able to attend such a wonderful event!!! I hope all of you were there giving your support too!! Check back soon!!!
10/25/08 ~ TONIGHT is Ryans benefit dinner!!! I will be posting a complete update on Ryan after the dinner as I plan to attend!!
RYAN Has been Home since 10/11/08 and is attending physical and occupational therapy 3 days a week at Albany Memorial!! I had a chance to visit Ryan in the Hospital during Super Dirt Week!!
It was initially pretty devistating to see his condition!!! I can not imagine what Ryan looked like or the condition he was in during his first couple weeks at Syracuse University Medical Center.
He seemed pretty surprised but happy to see me there showing moral support! I was pretty speechless at first. (yeah, there's a shocker huh?) Ryan's a pretty big guy (tall etc.) he looked like he could use a home cooked meal. Definitely looking a little thin around the edges and craving a hamburger and maybe some pizza!!
Although Ryan was still a little upset about the safety concerns at the Ridge (not knowing changes had been made) His gratitude Still turned toward Curtis for Saving him!! He stated how Curtis Literaly "cut him out of his safety belts" to free him from the raging inferno!!!
One thing Ryan did mention ... he never thought keeping belts maintained would ever be an issue but asked that I mention to all drivers to make sure they keep their belts greased and snap & release properly!!
I certainly hope to SEE everyone at the Benefit Dinner!!!
10/5/08 ~ There will be a benefit spaghetti supper for Ryan Hover on
October 25th at the Craryville Fire Station, located on Rt. 7 in the town of Craryville. Hours are 4p.m.-8p.m.Cost is: Adults, $8.00, Children, $5.00, Under age 3 free.
We are hoping as many race car drivers can make it, to show their support. All race car fans, whether they witnessed it or not, know this is the worst fear and they might like to attend to show their support also.
Ryan continues to improve and with the moral support of many, it will be a bit easier. Thank you in for your cooperation.

10/3/08 ~ I spoke with the Hover family and there is good news and bad.... I'll give the bad news first! (get it out of the way) Ryan Has lost ALL use of his Thumb on his burned arm!! The nerve damage was so severe he will never have any feeling it again...Basically, it's going to be a stub forever.
OK On to the Happy News!!! FIRST and Foremost the Hover Family was presented a donation at the Lebanon Valley Speedway on 9/19/08 in the sum of $4200.00!!!!! Due to the weather conditions the show was hurried and the Family was unable to thank some people properly... So Here Goes!....Howard Commander and Staff for their hospitality and VIP treatment they gave the family! ALL the people who generously reached so deep in their pockets to help! AND a Special Personal Thanks to Robbie Speed for organizing and arranging the donations to be made possible!! The Hover family cannot express their gratitude enough!!
More Happy News! ... RYAN is up and about, out of intensive care and already in physical therapy!!! No more Wires, Breathing Tubes, IV's Hanging out of his body! Ryan is on his third skin graph and he will probably have a couple more before he leaves the hospital. The Skin Graphs took nicely and are healing in his groin, leg and "most" of his arm! He is eating Human Food again, But hates the Protein Shakes that keeps his skin growing so they can keep taking from one area and give to the burned areas! He is still taking medictions but only orally! RYAN Said.."I'm Ready to Go HOME!" So keep the kind words of encouragement and donations coming! I will be visiting Ryan on Wednesday or Thursday During SDW. Then I can finally get some first hand knowledge of the extent of his injuries! I am excited to meet him for the first time personally! PS~There was actually talk amongst the family about him driving again or not...How's that for a cliff hanger?? Stay tuned and check back soon! Tom~

Lebanon Valley Will be Presenting a Check to the HOVER FAMILY Saturday 9/13/08 who will be Present to receive the donation!! I Encourage all who can to attend! 9/11/08 (B)- I have Spoke to the Hover family again tonight! The Family was with Ryan all week long at his bedside...hence the reason for the long delay in updates. Ryan did have his original skin graph on his arm 2 weeks ago...most of took, but the shoulder area did not. So Ryan was in another surgery for skin graphs on thursday for another 10 hours!!! The doctors are using the skin from Ryans back to graph his arm and hand. Ryan has been relieved of the ventilator and is now out of the induced coma, but is still heavily sedated with pain medications. Ryans throat and lungs are still very sore, he is still coughing up black carbon particles from the smoke and fire as his lungs heal. With the throat healing it has left Ryan with little appetite. However the doctors need him to continue eating lots of proteins and carbs in case they need more skin. As far as his groin, he does have limited burns to the area. The rumors to Ryans Face are as follows...the sheild of his helmet DID melt! His Face DID NOT Melt off!! He has burns to the right side of his face from his forehead to underneath his chin. These burns are currently healing on there own, but may need scar surgery later on down the road. As far as the Doctors and Family are concerned the Helmet DID Do it's Job!! He has NO burns to his Head, Ears, or Hair for that matter!! The Doctors have been getting Ryan up to sit in a chair 3 - 4 hours a day! They have also been getting him up to be put in a bathing tub to wash him and scrub the effected areas that do not require immediate skin graphs! Ryan is By NO means "Walking Around" as rumored either!! Last But not least Ryan is communicating but Very Little. The Medication is making it difficult. But Ryan is comfortable. He REALLY Does have an Uphill Battle for a long time to come!! But we are all so grateful he will survive and he will come home as soon as possible!! Please keep Ryan and his Family in your prayers. The Hover Family and I have decided to give weekly updates unless something that needs to be put out immediately comes up.
The Hover Family will also be at the Lebanon Valley Speedway on Saturday 9/13/08 to receive a check from donated funds from Drivers, Fans and Officials, which was headed by Robbie Speed, Pro Stock Driver #24! THANKS ROBBIE!! I want the amount of the check to be a surprise to the Family But I will say it was well into the 4 digit range! If you feel so inclined you may hand them any donations in person at Lebanon Valley. They will be greatly appreciated.
I will be at Glen Ridge on Friday to find out how much they raised as well and see when and how the check will be presented.

8/29/08 - 6:00pm - Mr. Hover Called me this afternoon! Ryan was supposed to be in surgery most of the day to begin the skin graphs on his arm. His sister has been by his side ALL WEEK long!! The rest of the family and Ryan's girlfriend are leaving Saturday morning to go see him at the Hospital for the weekend. There should be another update sometime Monday! Mr. Hover did tell me one thing that he received today from the Helicopter Transportation company...THE BILL!!!!! Are you Sitting down?? $21,000.00 dollars!!!!!!!!!! YES NO TYPO THERE!!!!!!! SO reach DEEP this weekend at Glen Ridge and Lebanon Valley Speedways!!!!!!!!! The Drivers will be out with the Helmets asking for donations!!! Thanking You ahead of time for your Generousity!!!!

I would also like to explain the purpose for the closely monitored video!! WNYT 13 in Albany has already lied to us about doing a story on Curtis Rouse Being a Hero!! INSTEAD they trespassed the speedway grounds and ONLY showed video of negative words that Curtis spoke of! They made the whole story of negligence of the speedway instead of researching ALL the Facts and those involved!!! This is the media frenzy I spoke of!!! Had they researched ALL the facts of the incident they would have reported differently! The purpose of of these updates are NOT to get involved with any he said she said or legalities of this event! It is Strickly to let those who are genuinely concerned with Ryan and his family and to keep you updated! RYANS CURRENT CONDITION: Critical / Stable
Ryan is currently in an induced coma and on a ventilator. The reason for the induced coma is so it allows his body to begin healing without the horrific pain and shock to the body that is involved. Ryan’s arm is severely burned! To where there is no skin left!! On Friday they will bring him out of the coma to begin 18 hours of surgery and skin grafting to his arm. This will be a long series of surgeries to come. Ryan’s Face is also badly burned. Ryan was communicating through eyebrow lifts with yes or no questions up until yesterday.
I will report again as the family contacts me with updates in Ryans progress.
